Premiere Networks and The Bobby Bones Show’s Amy Brown Launch New iHeartRadio Original Podcast – 4 Things with Amy Brown
LOS ANGELES, November 15, 2018 – Amy Brown, co-host of iHeartMedia’s CMA and ACM Award-winning Country radio program The Bobby Bones Show, and Premiere Networks announced the launch of a new iHeartRadio Original Podcast, 4 Things with Amy Brown, which debuts today, November 15, on the iHeartRadio Podcast Network.
Co-produced by Amy Brown and Premiere Networks as part of Bobby Bones’ Nashville Podcast Network, 4 Things with Amy Brown is a weekly podcast featuring “4 Things” listeners can do to promote an overall healthy well-being and maintain an attitude of gratitude, while sprinkling joy and giving back in their daily lives. The theme of the podcast is based on the 4 Things® Custom Tote, which was co-created by Brown and The Shop Forward Founder/CEO Meri Barnes under their Espwa® brand, which they launched together to spread hope and raise funds for those in need in Haiti. Each week on the podcast, Brown will cover a wide variety of topics, including wellness, self-care, fitness, diet, family, giving back and more.
Launching with a theme song recorded by Country singer and songwriter Walker Hayes, the first episode of 4 Things with Amy Brown will discuss tricking yourself into having self-confidence, Amy’s struggles with trying to get pregnant, a conversation with accredited health expert Dr. Oz about why attitude and gratitude are important to our health, and a kid-approved recipe with Amy’s son Stevenson. Listen to the first episode here.
“I get questions from listeners on a wide variety of topics – from how I make a breakfast smoothie, to exercise tips, to the work I do in Haiti,” shared Brown. “This podcast is a chance to connect with them on other levels and expand our community. I can’t wait to share it with them.”
“Amy is an integral part of some of our most-popular Country radio programs,” said Julie Talbott, President of Premiere Networks. “We’ve seen firsthand how her loyal following of fans stays connected across any and every platform, so this podcast is a natural next step.”
Brown’s career in radio began in 2006 when she joined iHeartMedia’s The Bobby Bones Show as a co-host. Broadcasting live from Nashville, the popular Country morning show syndicated by Premiere Networks reaches millions of listeners on nearly 140 stations in the U.S. and Canada. Brown also co-hosts two nationally-syndicated weekend programs: Country Top 30 with Bobby Bones, a four-hour weekend music countdown show heard on 200 stations nationwide; and the newly-launched Women of iHeartCountry, a one-hour weekend program with Bobby Bones that features music from established female artists and up-and-comers, which can be heard on nearly 140 iHeartCountry stations across the U.S.
Inside and outside the studio, Brown is passionate about giving back. She donates her time to working with orphans in the U.S., Africa and Haiti, where she recently adopted two young children, and she utilizes her national platforms to raise awareness and funds for numerous charitable organizations including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, TJ Martell Foundation and the American Red Cross. In 2013, she launched #PimpinJoy, a movement promoting random acts of joy, which was created to honor her late mother Judy and the positive way she battled cancer. Growing rapidly and garnering national attention, the movement spurred the launch of a #PimpinJoy clothing line available at The Shop Forward, which has raised millions of dollars for various charities, and an annual week-long celebration known as Joy Week featuring in-studio performances by the biggest stars in Country music. Brown also supports those in need in Haiti through the sale of Espwa® (which means “hope” in Haitian Creole) branded merchandise. Created by Brown and The Shop Forward Founder/CEO Meri Barnes, Espwa® shirts, hats and the signature 4 Things®Custom Tote are available at The Shop Forward, with proceeds benefitting the spread of hope throughout Haiti.
