Joe Jonas and DNCE Take Over "American Top 40 with Ryan Seacrest" This Weekend - September 26 and 27

LOS ANGELES, September 24, 2015 – Hot off DNCE’s performance at the 2015 iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, as well as the release of their debut single “Cake By The Ocean,” platinum-selling recording artist Joe Jonas and his new band take over American Top 40 this weekend, September 26 and 27.  In addition to counting down the Top 40 songs, the pop music superstar and his bandmates JinJoo Lee, Cole Whittle and Jack Lawless will reveal details on DNCE’s forthcoming album and tour plans.  Jonas also opens up about his brothers’ reaction to him starting a new band; what it was like to watch Nick’s career take off this year; and his friendships with the biggest women in pop music, including Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez.

Below are a couple highlights from this weekend’s program, which can also be heard on the AT40 channel on iHeartRadio:

On his brothers’ reaction to DNCE:
Jonas: “They were very supportive.  I have some amazing brothers, and they are just always looking out for each other.  When Nick was working on his project, we were so thrilled and he was playing me the music early on, and the same thing with DNCE. He loves the guys and the lady here, and they’re going to be coming to shows soon, so they’re very supportive and very happy for us.”

His favorite song on Nick Jonas’ self-titled solo album:
Jonas: “My favorite song off Nick’s latest album I would say is Teacher. I really like that, and then he just released a song […] called Area Code, that I think is a pretty [awesome] song.”

About DNCE
Formed in the summer of 2015, DNCE first introduced themselves to audiences with the unexpected release of their debut single “Cake By The Ocean.” Listen HERE!

The band is fronted by superstar JOE JONAS, who has been working to bring DNCE to life ever since The Jonas Brothers disbanded in 2013 (after moving 17 million records worldwide and becoming worldwide stars). The group is rounded out by South Korean guitarist JinJoo Lee who JONAS first met when she was playing lead guitar for Jordin Sparks—the opener of The Jonas Brothers’ 2009 world tour. A virtuoso in her own right, she’s toured with everybody from Charli XCX to CeeLo Green. Then, there’s bassist and keyboardist, Cole Whittle, who co-founded New York alternative dance trailblazers, Semi Precious Weapons. DNCE drummer, Jack Lawless, stepped behind the kit for The Jonas Brothers in 2006 and went on to become their full-time drummer. He’s also toured with Night Terrors of 1927 and Soft Swells.
