FOX Sports Delivers Coverage of 87th MLB All-Star Game Live from San Diego

New York – FOX Sports showcases Major League Baseball’s best, as stars from the American and National Leagues face off in the 2016 All-Star Game at Petco Park in San Diego Tuesday, July 12, with pregame coverage beginning at 7:00 PM ET on FS1. With homefield advantage in the World Series at stake, FOX Sports televises its 18th Midsummer Classic, offering multi-platform coverage across FOX, FS1, FOX Sports Regional Networks, FOX Deportes, FOXSports.com, FOX Sports GO and FOX Sports Radio.
Seven-time Emmy Award-winning play-by-play announcer Joe Buck, who calls his record 18th All-Star Game, is joined by Hall of Famer and eight-time All-Star, John Smoltz, making his All-Star Game broadcast debut. In addition to Buck and Smoltz, two-time Emmy Award-winning FOX MLB insider Ken Rosenthal and broadcaster Tom Verducci report from the dugouts.
Coverage of the All-Star Game from San Diego begins Monday, July 11 at 12:00 PM ET on FS1 with a special edition of THE HERD hosted by Colin Cowherd. FOX SPORTS LIVE WITH JAY AND DAN, hosted by Jay Onrait and Dan O’Toole, immediately follows THE HERD at a special time for a 30-minute All-Star edition beginning at 3:00 PM ET. SPEAK FOR YOURSELF, co-hosted by Cowherd and Jason Whitlock, airs in its regular window at 6:00 PM ET on FS1. All three aforementioned shows originate from the FOX Sports San Diego studio at the ballpark.
Pregame coverage begins live from FOX Sports’ set behind centerfield at Petco Park on Tuesday, July 12 at 7:00 PM ET on FS1. Host Kevin Burkhardt is joined by Verducci, former 17-time All-Star Pete Rose and Hall of Famer and former five-time All-Star Frank Thomas. Pregame coverage shifts to the FOX broadcast network at 7:30 PM ET.
Pete Macheska produces the 2016 MLB All-Star Game on FOX, and Bill Webb directs. Pregame coverage is produced by Jonathan Kaplan and Bardia Shah-Rais and directed by Geordie Wimmer. Coverage continues on Tuesday, July 12 at 4:00 PM ET with a two-hour special edition of FOX DEPORTES EN VIVO, followed by CENTRAL FOX. Carlos Alvarez and Duaner Sanchez host pregame prior to calling the game.
