Cody Alan Celebrates 2,000th Episode as Host of CMT After MidNite with Surprise Guests Garth Brooks, Keith Urban and Thomas Rhett

LOS ANGELES, June 28, 2019 – Last night, award-winning CMT host and radio personality Cody Alan celebrated his 2000th episode as host of CMT After MidNite.  Alan, who commemorated his fifth anniversary as host of the program in January 2019, was surprised with in-studio appearances by Garth Brooks and Keith Urban, as well as a phone call from Thomas Rhett.

In addition to this major milestone for CMT After MidNite, Alan is also celebrating the 100th episode of his Cody Cast podcast and the 10th anniversary of the Premiere Networks-syndicated program CMT Radio Live with Cody Alan.

During the special broadcast last night, Garth Brooks, who was Alan’s first guest as host of CMT After MidNite in 2014, said: “It’s an honor.  I love it!  Do me a favor – can you pencil me in for 4,000?”  Brooks also discussed his massive stadium tour and the secrets behind his new duet with Blake Shelton, “Dive Bar.”

Later during the show, Keith Urban asked Alan what his most “train wreck memory” has been in 2,000 shows.  Alan answered, “When I asked George Strait if he was on Twitter - that probably was not a good place to go.”  In that interview, King George famously replied, “I don’t Tweet, I twang!”

Thomas Rhett, who called into the program, said, “I just wanted to say thanks for the years of support from you and your friendship,  and for always being there and being a champion for me and my music and my videos.”
